Renting an exotic car in Miami: a guide for visitors from Latin America

Updated

Yes, you can rent an exotic car in Miami with your driver's license from Mexico, Colombia, Venezuela, Argentina, Brazil or anywhere else in Latin America: Zalo Rentals accepts foreign and international licenses. You must be 21 or older with your own full-coverage insurance. Book with a $100 deposit; delivery is free across Greater Miami, and we speak Spanish.

Can I drive in Miami with my home country's license?

Yes. Zalo Rentals accepts foreign and international driver's licenses, including licenses from every country in Latin America. You upload yours when you book, front and back, as clear phone photos, and bring the physical license to the hand-over.

If your license is not in English — if it is in Spanish or Portuguese, for example — an International Driving Permit helps: it is a translation of your license, issued in the country that issued the license. It does not replace your license, so bring both.

Not sure about your license? Send us a photo of it on WhatsApp before you book and we tell you.

Minimum age and insurance: what it means for a visitor

You must be 21 or older to rent any car in the fleet.

Full-coverage auto insurance is required, and it must be your own policy: Zalo Rentals does not provide insurance. You upload the insurance card with your booking.

For many visitors this is the key question. If your policy is from outside the United States, send it to us on WhatsApp before you book and we tell you whether it works for the car you want. Don't have one yet? Ask us before you book.

How booking and payment work

Book online with a $100 deposit — the only charge when you book. It reserves your request, comes off the rental once Gonza approves you, and is refunded automatically if we can't confirm.

Pay the deposit in the booking sheet with Apple Pay, Google Pay, Cash App Pay or a card.

Once you're approved, 50% of the rental total locks your dates — Gonza sends you a secure payment link — and the balance is due at pickup.

Cancel more than 48 hours before the rental starts and the 50% you paid to lock your dates is refunded in full; within 48 hours of the start, we keep 50% of what you paid.

How much does it cost to rent a luxury car in Miami?

Rates are per day and depend on the model. For example, the Lamborghini Urus S is from $999 per day, the Rolls-Royce Cullinan from $1,049 and the Mercedes-Benz G 63 AMG from $500; every car shows its price on its own page.

A weekend is three rental days. At today's rates:

The standard allowance is 100–150 miles per day, set per car; extra miles are $3–5 each depending on the car, and we confirm the exact numbers for your car when you book.

Delivery to the airport (MIA) and to your hotel

Delivery is free across the Greater Miami area, including Miami International Airport (MIA) and the hotels of Miami Beach, Brickell and Downtown — give us your flight or the address when you book. The rest of South Florida and anywhere else in Florida are by quote.

Before pickup, Gonza texts you the time and place. At the hand-over we walk around the car and photograph it together; bring the physical license and the insurance you sent.
